Seastar or Catcha

Good Morning All!!!!! Decisions, decisions....we are ready to book or vacation for July (yeah!!!) and this year we thought we'd do a split (never done that before) I like the cliffs but hubby likes the action of the beach so we are doing Grand Pineapple for the beach half (2nd half) and I am wondering if any of you have thoughts or advice...Catcha (we stayed there 2 years ago and LOVED IT, BEST VACATION WE EVER HAD) but I thought we'd try something new and stay at Seastar. Was that the longest run-on sentence ever!!!??? What do you guys think? Catcha or Seastar? Thanks in advance!!!! i love all of your postings, I've learned soooo much!

Do you mean Catcha Falling Star or Catcha Falling Star Gardens?

Catcha Falling Star - we stayed in moon but this year we were looking to stay in one of the newer rooms

If money is no object... Then I dont think there is any comparison. Granted, I havent stayed at either place, but I have been to both a few times. Catcha is world class in my opinion, as far as the view and the grounds and the sunning areas etc. You can walk to Seastar anytime any day, but catcha only lets you in after 5.

yep. Totally different properties. Haven't stayed at Seastar but I also haven't heard anything but great things about it. Catcha is top notch imo, and really can't be beat. (I stayed in Moon also)

Are you willing to give up the sea view? To me that would be the question.

I guess I would be willing to give up the view if Seastar compared with other things...bigger pool, pool bar, free shuttle to different places. It seems Seastar has more to offer. Hey Tizzy - didn't you love Moon? When I saw it for the first time I thought I was gonna burst! I loved the porch & hammock, the day beds...loved everything about it.

Hard for me to give up that sea view. I'd stay at Catcha, and hit seastar at happy hour.
Its just down the road.
