Should I go to Negril?

Thanks to all for your replies. Decision has been made. I will be going and looking forward to it. A lot of this forum's members paint Negril as pure paradise and I can't help but be drawn to it. Thanks again to all.
Great list and very helpful BCBud, will look into it. Is it possible to just turn up on the day and get accommodation even during peak season or should bookings be made? My concern isn't cost (to a point) as much as finding people to hang out with. Having said that some of the pub crawls could be a good start.

Immigration will request a specific name and location so be prepared for that.

I visited Judy House a couple months ago, I don't think you would be alone up there, always several folks staying there and she has it done up real cute with nice socializing areas on the property. The few photos I've seen of the hostel rooms and gardens don't do the place justice. I stayed in one of the cottages a couple years ago, before she built the hostel portion to serve that clientele.
