For some unknown reason my computer is back on line (at least for today). The bash was great and we do get to meet a lot of old friends and make new ones. Thanks for the picture and also the "custom" one.
Here is a picture of Father Jim (on the left). I met him for the first time and he is a wonderful and caring man. Also an inside shot of the party.

It was great to meet so many folks that I have encountered on the board! Thanks for the kind support! I left with supplies for the Kitchen, some book bags (back packs) for kids, a perfectly good laptop (except the battery won't hold a charge--so let's make it a desktop) and about USD$350 in cash. We always welcome ongoing gifts and we are already gearing up for outfitting our 40 sponsoered children for the next school year--uniforms, shoes, book bags, school supplies. Many of you commented that you are coming back and will carry something. We need items all year round so if you have a little room in your luggage we can always use stuff--flip-flops, children's underwear, socks, shoes, school supplies, toys, games. If you have any questions post a reponse or drop me an email - jimbok@franciscan.org. Thaks again to Rob and Lisa for highlighting the Kitchen and for all the encouragement! Peace and all good to all you boardies! --Fr. Jim
I had to apologize to the great staff at Wild Parrot....told them it would be around 50-100 people....we counted up around 200...Wild Parrot ROCKED!
Fr. Jim,
What sizes do you need for the underwear, shoes, and flip-flops? We would love to purchase some items to bring to you for the children.
You mean you can be a Father and still drink Red Stripes??? I'm IN? Rob has created a MONSTER? It's all cyclical, pay it forward.
WE left before the group photo, sorry we missed it. Meeting Friar Jim was nice, a super kind man.
