Just looking for an update on the Beachclub as to how things are running lately. I was wondering whether things had improved any in regards to the utilities , beach chairs , and general running conditions ? I am sure that as far as Jean's end of things it is business as usual; I am wondering more about everything else. I'm talking about the last few months only.
I know Jean got a whole lot of new beach chairs (over 100) for guests of NBCC a while back. Beyond that, nothing new as far as I know.
Power was cut to the hotel and timeshare units last week....again! Condos still running smoothly and I am looking forward to being there next week!
I am hoping to read in this thread that Mr. Ofer is no longer there!
That is exactly why I'm only going for my 4 TS weeks this summer vs 5-7 weeks. Don't want to have to deal w/ no power or no AC when it's hot & humid. You're only safe from the cut offs in one of Jean's NBCC units.Originally Posted by Jamerican71
I've never seen him or known of him being there... a cousin (same last name) was running the place at one time. He always has his manager there doing what he tells them to do. It's such a frustrating & disappointing situation for those of us who love the property.

Were the wires cut like they did at Christmas or was it just turned off? Is this a fact or rumor?
I just reread my statement....when i said I was hoping he was no longer there, I meant no longer involved with the property at all. I know that foolish man has folks running the business for him. I just want that property brought back to life as we knew it pre-Ofer!

My husband was there last week (in one of Jean's units) and I can confirm through him that the timeshare and hotel units did not have power. No idea whether the wires were cut or not, but he reported several unhappy folks ...
I'm glad your hubby wasn't one of the affected people. I don't know why anybody continues to book through the hotel at all. Jean's rates are pretty much the same as the hotel rates.
Agree on booking through the hotel... But lots of people have timeshares that are paid for and the maintenance is paid. They have reason to be grumpy, *****y or whatever. Would be nice if there would be a way to recover that money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evidently Mrs McNeill doesn't have the property back!
