Hi Pool Guy From Windsor,
Thanks for the compliment. The subject matter was unbelievable. I was lucky to have a Nikon FM that I took everywhere with me and have some really nice pictures from around Jamaica but especially Negril.
I too knew Mortimer! great pics, I remember those clouds of exhale and that absolutely brilliant smile. I can say this for sure. Heaven has a bong!
Mortimer was always very friendly, welcoming and kind sharing food, drink and a ton of laughter mixed in with the tunes on his bong. If I wasn't laughing hard when I arrived I sure as hell was laughing on my way out of his yard. We were both boxing aficionados and we spent hours discussing Duran - Leonard, Ali vs. anybody, etc... I'm sure that Mortimer has a solid place in the Jamaica Heaven Band along side Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller, Joseph Hill, Garnett Silk, Gregory Issacs, and the list goes on. For sure Mortimer is hitting the high notes on his Saxaphone.
Wow! The best pics of "old Negril" yet ! Thank You
Hope to see more of them!
Trip #59 most of February
Well pool guy,
I guess the Wings get the Blackhawks. Funny how Scotty ran things in Detroit and now in Chicago. Should be a great series. Some more pics of the island. I hope in all the trips you have made that you have been able to travel around and see some other places. Harley Davidson has tried to open rental outlets on the island but so far unsuccessful, that would be a trip!!! Cross island tour on Hogs!! Enjoy the photos.![]()
Love all the pics.

Thanks Lady Jane,
Hope things in NB are good and that spring has finally arrived. Are you on your way to JA? If so Cool Runnings!!
That's awesome! I would love to bring something like that back to the States with me. I guess I can always tell the guys at customs that it is a musical instrument (as long as I keep it clean).
Incredible pictures, by the way! These are some of the best early Negril/Jamaica photos that I have seen.
