Where do you buy beer in Jamaica for less than a dollar a bottle? Do the fridges and freezers in Negril run on air?

At the supermarket?

And yes, you can spend $5 on a drink at Starbucks, but a plain cup of coffee doesn't cost half that.

my first trip through margarittaville, was a sunday and nfl games was on, the falcons were on, so we stopped for a beer as I got an update...i ordered 2 red stripe, gave 1000 ja and waited for my change....i was watching game and didnt notice the bartender trying to get me...i put our my hand for change, and she put out her hand for more money.....hey, never bought another thing on the property....is it a ripoff, no, but it is only worth what u are willing to pay for it...i am not willing to pay that price...i shop for bargains at home, and i do it in negril....


this discussion is not about the price, i dont think, it is about the deception....

Or charge you for picking your seat ???? Do you complain when there is a power outage at your property ???? Do you complain to the hotel that you should get a discount because there is no power??? It is called free enterprise... If you dont like the deal, move on !!!!!!!!! How many of you that are complaining have paid over $ 100.00 for a concert ticket, and $ 20.00 to park and $ 25.00 for a concert T Shirt???? Keep it in perspective......Let'em make there money or dont order....

Actually I do. I'm not so stuck on vacationing in Jamaica that I won't go somewhere else if the airfare is better. And of course I will take only carry on bags saving $140 for 2 people on a round trip if at all possible. When I don't like the deal I do move on. It happens where I live and it happens in Jamaica.

Why yes, yes I do! and I adjust my practices accordingly. I never pick a seat for a flight, I just check in early and smile pretty - works every time.

I was in cozumel, one time and I was shopping in one of the shops, when the lady started raising changing prices on everything and in a hurry, then I realize the people from a cruise trip started coming in, talk about ripping off

supply and demand....when I got to the mobay airport saturday, true story, we checked in, did all we had to do, and then had an hour or so before our flight...well, they dont allow liquids (wata, ting, juice) thru security, but will sell it to u once u get thru....go to the DQ and wife orders a diet coke and a minute maid juice, both 20 oz bottles, and it was 6.50....same thing was 1.90 this morning in negril....talk about rip off, but supply and demand, we still bought them, because we we thirsty and they had cut off our other options....

so back to bella donnas....if everyone ordered beers thinking they were 2-3 dollars like all the stops are, and then find out they are higher, that is a bit deceptive...if they are told they are 5 in advance, then u have the chance to order one or turn and walk away....when we stopped at bella donnas a couple years ago on the crawl, we were served pizza, it was good pizza, but were surprised with a bill for each piece we ate, she even tried to charge some who didnt eat...now the only thing about that, cuz i expect to pay for what i eat, is that the other two places that served snacks on that crawl (choices and another place) didnt charge, up to u to leave a tip, which I did...so most thought bella donna was the same way...i was gonna leave a tip anyway, so it came out the same, but the bill was a surprise...

negotiate before u particiapate....no hidden surprises....

Just to be clear...Choices does charge but the charge includes a drink & food for a set fee...Grace sets a very reasonable price for both.
