Helpful Boardies----I could use a little help!

I will be returning 5 June to 15 June. I will be splitting my stay, per usual, with beach first five days, cliffs last five days. The cliff housing is already taken care of. Its the beach housing I could use some help with...

I stayed at Sunset on the Beach a couple of weeks ago...it was....adequate. I loved the location and that stretch of beach. I didn't like the fact that there was no pool, some garbage on the property(like a rusting refrigerator without a door just lying there on your walk to/from the beach) and I was totally ignored for breakfast my last morning. I would stay there again, though...if it came down to a total budget deal on the beach.

Since I will be staying longer and possibly doing something way cool in Kingston..I am on a budget. I have banged on most of the search engines and am just not finding anything that has a good price-to-comfort ratio. I do not want to spend more than 70us a night/inclusive of taxes. The hotel should be beachfront and preferably have a swimming pool. Don't laugh! I stayed at Coco twice in 2012 for 65/night, breakfast and tax included!!! I have been on literally every property on the beach, but not in the rooms. If someone here has a suggestion, and inside to a great rate, or any help...I'd appreciate it!!

    THANKS!

RR - The Wild Parrot cottages for 70 a night. No pool. But the AC is ice cold.

So far it's my favorite of the places I stayed. Out of Yellowbird, Bourbon Beach and Wild Parrot.

    I'd rank the following.

    Rooms
    1. Parrot
    2. Yellowbird
    3. Bourbon Beach

    Bar
    1. Yellowbird
    2. Wild Parrot
    3. Bourbon Beach

    Food
    1. Bourbon Beach
    2. Wild Parrot (Gaining on Bourbon Beach, as I think BB is headed down hill)
    3. Yellow Bird - $5 Breakfast, will cook for you on the grill of oredered ahead of time

White sands has a $57 rate...still under $60 with taxes. They have a pool, a bar, both beach and garden side rooms and i think a pool table and ping pong table too

RR, check with Groove. He and Janet stayed at Bar B Barn the last few nights of their trip, they really liked it.
No pool, but breakfast is included and it is definitely within your budget.

ps, I am soooooooooooooooooooooo jealous that you are going AGAIN!!

    hey buddy,

sheilds, next door to sunset, has a pool, swim up bar, cold ac, breakfast included, friendly staff, great cook....i can get you in touch with the right person...def in your budget...only drawback is a small beach...stayed there for 5 nights and loved it

bar b barn is our new favorite beach location we extended and spent our last 3 nights there....no pool, but sheilds is not too far, cold a/c, great security, full breakfast menu, just a little slow on the food, but that is everywhere....met a couple from ga that are staying there for 5 weeks, after a 6 week stay in dec and jan....only drawback, no pool...

    any questions, just ask

didnt stay at travelors but we toured the place and i second what lisa said, it has everything you are looking for, but also a small beach, same as sheilds...if you hang on the beach, you are right in the path of the foot traffic, meaning no peace...we just set up at errols or nbcc....
