    Jealousy

My oldest son arrived in Negril on May 16th. He wanted a ride to the airport at 5am, which only added insult to injury since May 16th is my birthday! He was going to Negril AND I had to wake up an hour earlier to help get him there?! The nerve! lol I kept teasing him, telling him I had my bag packed for my 'surprise' birthday trip to Negril! No such luck though.

Now he's sending me images of my beloved Negril!

AND..... I'll admit it......... I AM SO JELLY~!!

Not only cuz he is there, but it's his first time. I can still remember, so clearly, my 1st trip to Negril. Each trip is wonderful in it's own way, but nothing's like the first time ever I saw her face! From his texts & facetime he is loving it, as I did...... & as I knew he would!

They are splitting their stay between the beach & the cliffs & will head to the cliffs tomorrow. The best of both worlds!
I'll be curious to see which he likes best!

His 1st text about 3 hours after arrival...... I'm already in love with this place.

Other comments.......He met a rasta whose sister goes to the university in Detroit where I work!?

    I love the people.

They went to Cosmos for dinner & sunset. Bourbon Beach for reggae later.

The last one...... Love ya MON (Not mom!? Doesn't take long?! LOVE it!!!!)

So, while I am whining about being jealous, I am so thrilled & proud that he 'gets' it too.

    Re: Jealousy

I had always taken my kids to Jamaica with me when they were kids and still living at home, but now that they are grown and make their own plans and go to Jamaica without me, I get a little "jelly" too. This time, though, I get to go, and they get to babysit my pets while I'm gone, so I'm a happy mom.

Enjoy, Maryann! When are you going?

I look forward to the day I can go with all 3 of my kids. My youngest will be 18 next month & will be able to travel without restriction from my ex husband. Forget Disney, we're going to Jamaica!

Thanks, WestEndGirl! Leaving in a couple days, me and all my books. YAY! My youngest will be 22 in a couple of months. We did Disney and the major state parks, etc., when they were kids but, like me, Jamaica is their true love.

He was doing a Black River road trip today.
    & Lenbert's Magic Bus tomorrow!

Nutz, It will be interesting to see who's the first to schedule the next trip, him or me?!

    Maryann, Are you there yet?!

I'm starting my grandson out this July and he's 12. I want him to see the beauty but see how blessed he is in so many ways. Hope this will be the start of his Jamaican adventure.
