You should take Mom to AhhhBees for a Spicy Mango Chicken Burger with Lettuce, Tomato, red onion on a seseme seed bun. It's spicy but NOT HOT. Mom will love it. Also try some Fried Breadfruit with thier Mango sause for dipping.Originally Posted by captaind

she will be surprised at how sweet the mangoes are in Jamaica ...and how many different varieties there are . If you are going to eat lots of mangoes, the fruit isnt the person to buy from ...it would cost you a small fortune ..buy them from fruit vendors on the street, in the square, in the marke etc .. or ck with one of the staff wherever you plan to stay .. mangoes can be had in fruit salad, smoothies, drinks with a little ginger , verrryy ripe ones on top of pancakes.,, and with icecream... best way is to sit with 6 or more and get your face and hands all messy with the juices ..

If you can, do as Ackee suggested, look for vendors on the street - they will have buckets or boxes of them, often selling them by the bag (like a half-gallon size) for small money. Every day is something/someone different selling.

I like squishing the mango while its in the skin, then I just tear a hole in the top with my teeth and squeeze the goodness right into my mouth. I am salivating as I write this and wish I had a REAL mango , not those hard green ones in the grocery store.
