Kindred spirit! I'm also headed for Negril to experience mango season. 5/28-6/4. Mango varieties in Jamaica like apples in the US ... Number Eleven / Blackie / Julie / East Indian / Bombay … It's as if you lived in the Caribbean and the only apple you've ever known was a Red Delicious. Most of the best varieties don't grow in Negril. They're in the greener, wetter parishes. Will there be variety at the fruit stands in downtown Negril? Do we have them procured? When I get in I'll ask around who on staff has family on farms in-island. Or maybe a mango excursion taxi. I'm a Whole Foods kinda guy, so looking for the real deal: mangos grown for the Ital diet. Yum mon!

Having fun reading all your cool mango thoughts and images to my mom. She is getting excited. You all make us feel like we are at the mango party already. Thanks so much. David hope to see you in Negril in front of a mango salad, drinking a mango smoothie, etc.

    Dave,

Get in touch with my son Linston (Linston's Taxi) @ replate-negril.com.

He'll take you out to the yard where you can eat all the mangos you want
