Which mangos do NOT taste like peaches. I really really dislike peaches and each time I've tried a mango it's tasted like a peach. Someone told me there are some that do not taste like peaches.
Last Summer we stayed with one of our Dallas Tx. Church members, a Jamaican at one of his Mo'Bay properties! As we overlooked the Bay from his back porch in the hills, I asked him what he liked to do on nights like "this"... He responded, "I have a Mango party"...Lol, my wife and I looked at him with a "say what" look on our faces... When I asked what a Mango party was, he said..."I get a bowl of mangoes, sit here and eat a bunch of them"... We laughed until his brother bought out a bowl full, along with other natural treats from his property... That night i had the best "Green Gauge Mango" on the planet! It tasted much better than the green and red or yellow red ones at our supermarkets in the U.S.!

I do not know what kind of mango it is but that very old, very large mango tree hid in the back of Orange Hill, sure has the best mango I have ever eaten. But getting a mango when if falls off the tree is the only mango to fully enjoy!

Lol. my mother always say thats the best way to enjoy and eat mangoes. I somehow prefer them sliced.
there is a lovely mango tree near one of the places I used to stay on beach road - - we stripped that tree clean lol
Cinni, yu deh pon yu own in that regard! I hate peaches and LOVE mangoes! maybe mangoes are just not for you.
The best Mangoes I've had are from St. Thomas Parish, but unfortunately, I don't remember the name.
