The wife got these so bad last year, she ended up at the doctor in the roundabout for a shot.

Those little buggers seem to really enjoy those hailing from north of Florida. I have often wondered if we are not the walking version of the Saturday seastar buffet, but for fleas on the beach.

Those white bobbles that separate the swim areas have little creatures crawling on the underside of them! Pick one up and look under, not harmful but could be the cause you are commenting on. Just don't hang on them for swim support, dive under or pick up by the rope to pass by. One more little bugger to be aware of. This is too early for me to be commenting, some rules of language I believe I'm infracting on by ending my sentences with the words ON, And OF ... Later!

I understand that sea lice are a tiny form of jelly fish. We got stung with them along the MD/VA coast. They sting you everywhere and it itched and maybe caused a little redness.

Your description sound just like bad case of sand fleas. We used all natural shea butter on our bites. It worked for us.

Little jellies that hang in the seaweed. They get bad in the Florida panhandle during the summer when there is a lot of seaweed and relatively stagnant water. Avoiding clusters of seaweed as much as possible helps limit exposure.

I've had them a few times. A Jamaican friend told me to rub the area with wet sand (usually while I'm in the water) then make sure to wash your bathing suits in hot water and hang to dry. This has always worked for me.

Oh, have a hot shower yourself if you can.
