How old are the kids? If the cliffs/sea are too much for them, how about a different beach environment like Canoe? Its perfect for kids and families and you can snorkel right from the beach. It is a beach cottage on a private beach, and you family can be completely entertained, relaxed, snack, eat and drink for several hours.

Thanks everyone! The kids are almost 19 and 10 and they both love jumping at Rick's Cafe from the lower area. But Rick's is pretty expensive and busy when we have been there. I think we will definitely try going to Xtabi or Escape to check it out!

Leaving in 13 days and spending 16 days on the rock!

mrsladyd, Canoe is on the west end road One Love Drive, just past the Negril Yacht Club, and before reaching Miyard.

Pee Wees up by Blue Cave Castle is is where mi goes snorkeling every morning......
easy in and out on da ladder.......great for all ages.....and you will have the place to yourselves...
dem serve one of the better breakfast around too.....
and that area of Pee Wees and Blue Cave Castle has the best snorkeling.....
cause it's a semi cove and calm compared to up by Xtabi etc.........
once you go around the point at Sam Sara the wata will have a chop to it........
best snorkeling is first thing in the mornning.......after 11AM it is not calm a lot of days

Escape has similar heights to jump compared to the lower level at Ricks.... Also the light house at escape is a fun jump/dive..... Escape will not be busy at all and more reasonable in price... They'll welcome your business.
