My daughter wants to get married on The Beach. Pros and Cons? Suggestions?
Pros: stunningly beautiful setting and memories for a lifetime. Cons: sand gets everywhere :-)
I can't recommend strongly enough the Charela Inn. I have attended 3 weddings there and they do a first rate job.
It is also one of the finest boutique hotels on the beach.

We looked into Coco la Palm for a wedding for our daughter but didn't like the way they presented the package to us. We opted for Blue Cave Castle on the cliffs and don't regret it one bit.
With a beach weddding you may end up with some unwanted guests in your photo albums.
Here is how we planned the wedding on the cliffs, and you could do something similar on theh beach at the right hotel. The thread is nearly 2 years old, but will give you some ideas.

We did BCC in the Cliffs as well. Though we LOVE the beach, there was no way to not have people walking past during the ceremony. Was not interested in being a circus attraction.
BCC was stunningly private - even the few guests there asked if we minded if they watched (we welcomed them!!!).
All depends on your desire for intimacy.

Since Bob mentioned it my wife and I were also married at the Blue Cave Castle. It was beautiful and magical but you asked about a beach wedding.

Has anyone had 40-50 people attend, this include the bridal party?
Between visitors and locals we had about 70 people. Two of the weddings at Charela had at least 40 people the other was 15.

Hello, I'm the ''bride-to-be''. Thanks for the posts and insight so far. It's been very helpful! Did anyone use a travel agent? Group rates? We are looking to minimize costs for the guests. Did you have to make a trip down beforehand?
I made all the arrangements myself by phone and email. I have been going to Negril for 14 years, 9 before we got married so some of the plans were made on previous trips but that would not be necessary. Any hotel you choose will help you with the planning.

Our daughter just was married at Riu Palace. It was pricier than we normally do, but the upside for her dad and I? We didn't have to worry about getting 25 newbies off to dinner etc. each day. The wedding was simply gorgeous. Loved every bit of it!
