I first met both Wilbert and Hubert back in the early 80's. They were usually around Miss Gloria's (she was their aunt), and I stayed at what was commonly called Sammy's Place (in area between BarBBarn and the old DeBuss) for a couple of years. I too could tell lots of stories about Wilbert - he was the biggest hustler on the beach back in the 80's, but had a good heart. I ran into Hubert a couple of years ago and had a drink together and chatted. He told me about his grandkids, and also said that Wilbert was pretty mashed up by coke.
