    Novels about Negril

Jamaican Lovers - there are many good novels available by people who love Negril and have written about it. Rob, the founder of this web site, has promised a "Book Corner" for those of us who love to read about one of our favorite hangs... we are still waiting Rob.

Until Rob gets the nudge to hop off his favorite sunset perch in Negril and get the Book Corner going, I will post the novel I wrote about living in Negril in the early 1970s, a fiction novel but based on actual experiences. It is available in print and as a Kindle eBook @ the following sites:

By searching Amazon & Create Space for books about Jamaica, you will come upon several authors, many of whom live in Negril. Enjoy!

I'll bet most people don't know that unlike the movie, the James Bond novel "The Man With The Golden Gun" takes place largely in Negril.

I was not aware of that. Is it specifically mentioned by name? I might have to give it a read.

Some more good books, by a distinguished Negril "regular" Mr. Roland Reimer :
Walk Good - Travels to Negril, Jamaica
    Sunset Negril
Night nurse - An Afternoon in Negril
    Enjoy !

Flip, yep way back before it was developed. In fact much of the action revolves around the first resort being built on the beach. Most of the movies have little or nothing to do with the books beyond the title. I recently read all the original Flemming novels and as a huge Bond aficionado it was a blast. My wife was born and raised right across the road from Flemming's property Goldeneye near Oracabessa in St. Mary.

I know I've mentioned the book in previous posts, but here goes again {And I've read it about 5 times} "Walk Good" Travels to Negril Jamaica by Roland Reimer. Thanks Walter for mentioning the book too!
