I've lost 103 pounds since 2007, maintained it and am still losing.... I lost my 1st 52 pounds with no exercise, by following Dr. Ian Smiths plan. 1st book was/is called the "Fat Smash Diet"... Dr,. Ian was on VH-1 TV's Celebrity Fit Club and started something called the 50 Million Pound Challenge. The plan was pretty easy and perfect for the jamaican lifestyle... There are no pills, only fresh food. The 1st 10 days are a detox. You eat as much Fruit and veggies as you can. Every fruit, except Banana's and dried (concentrated sugar)fruit like raisins were/are in play. Every veggie except potatoes and Avocado's were in play. After the 10 days he reintroduces meat into your diet, in the proper portions, along with other things...After 90 days your whole lifestyle has changed. Since he wrote his 1st book, "The Fat Smash Diet", he's written 6 other's including his latest, "The Shredd". Keepin it real, the reason he got to write those was that his 1st book was such a winner! I went to pick up the FS book, not the Extreme Fatsmash for a friend last year. Although it came out in 2007, it was still selling for the same price as in 2007... That rarely happens with books these days... My lifestyle now is all about fresh! As a Radio guy, I've had all the programs that are offered over the Radio and I got paid to do them! I found the Fat Smash on my own, have never made a penny touting it and have had tremendous success.
Although a lot has changed on the website since it 1st started, as an accommodation to his latest books,
http://www.doctoriansmith.com/the-50...und-challenge/ remains an excellent resource for a real and doable lifestyle change...No pills...No surgery... Just lots of fruits, veggies in abundance and meats in moderation. Here are the nuts and bolts of the plan so you can see for yourself, before grabbing the book...

Blessings on your journey...
Sitting on my butt and talking on the Radio for over 2 decades packed on my weight 381lbs-278lbs... 58 waist to 44 and I'm still on my journey..Just lighter and with tremendous energy...Started working out after the 1st 52 pounds, but got side tracked for almost 22 months caring for a loved one!
My goal for our June 2014 trip is to be 225 pounds with a 38 inch waist...Same as I was at 25, 25 years ago, lol!
If I can...anyone can! The best thing is that this lifestyle change only costs the price of the food you eat.
Happy Travels
