Hi to everyone here. So far my one and only experience of Jamaica was in 2010 and I'm hooked!! I started planning our return the minute we arrived back home. I just fell in love. Well we up and did it, booked our return for our 4 year anniversary in November. I have spent some serious time stalking this forum for the oodles of information my brain craves and searching out any picture I could find for any resort I was interested in. I want to say thank you to all of you who have shared such great advice, posted so many pictures and written such detailed trip reports. Because of such great information we will be splitting our trip between the cliffs and the beach, unfortunately not for long enough I'm married to a wonderfully sweet, but shy man and our last trip (our honeymoon) was a short trip and juuussstt when he started to loosen up and enjoyed interacting with the local people it was time for us to leave, so I'm hoping this go round to make him a true Jamaican convert. More Red Stripes should do the trick!!!

Hello neighbor..........I'm in Lafayette and my wife and I will be in Negril in July....5 days @ beach 4 days @ cliffs..........We have been married 39 years, visiting Ja for 20 years and we still look forward to every trip..........I work as a consultant to the Bauxite Industry and sometimes mix business and pleasure, but I don't spend very much time on the board until it's time for a trip..........I'm shy too, but looking forward to unwinding and relaxing on the beach/cliffs soon.........More "Ice Cold" Red Stripes should do the trick!!!

My husband is a good ole Cajun. Go figure, get on a forum about a another country and the first person I meet is considerably in my own backyard. I love it!!! Glad to hear from you. I've never been on here until this year to plan this year's trip. Very informative. Where are you staying for your cliff and beach stay? You and our wife are very blessed to have been able to be traveling to JA for so many years. I find the prices have increased some just since we went 4 years ago.... but it's still not stopping from going,.

Great news about your return to Negril and splitting time between the cliffs and the beach should cover your bases. As far as your husband goes I would forgo the Red Stripes and start with a visit to Miss Brown for a large cup of tea as a starter. Later on a nice big piece of Ganja cake and a couple Overproof chasers should conquer any shyness issues that are unresolved. The only problem being with the mushroom tea is that once the genie is out of the bottle there is no getting it back in. You might find you got a wild and crazy guy there!!!!!

Hi Angie, we are staying at Citronella for two days and Charela Inn for. the other 3 days of our stay. Not nearly long enough but it will have to do for this trip.

I, too "stalked" the forum for many months.
I've found GREAT advice about Negril here.
Mushroom tea, ganja cake and overproof? OH MY! LOL! He'll be doing a strip tease on a bar top!
