we tried 23/7 every year it was open but never really thought much of the place one way or the other, usually had a few and wandered on

Does anyone know Bigga, the carver that was beside 23/7? He is/was my favorite carver on the beach, but have not seen him since the demise of the bar.
I would love to know if he is still in the area and selling his wares.
I loved 23/7 and miss it still. I remember the Olympics gold medal hockey game between Canada and the USA was on the big screen there and it was a really good time. John ran around banging a pot when the US scored. He popped a bottle of champagne when Canada won.
In the afternoon I would often wander down there, get in the hammock and sip on a Stripe while listening to the vibes and watching the sun sink towards the sea. For me, it was a great place and it's really too bad what happened.
The vibe there was different, yes, it was kind of like an old tavern in a pirate town.
'A Safe Haven For Sinners' - I guess that's why some people liked the vibe and some didn't.
My Books:
Walk Good - Sunset Negril - Night NurseAvailable @ www.amazon.com - search 'Roland Reimer'
just caught this thread in a search..
down here now.. walking past, fond memories. Puppies, american football, good burgers.. was great vibes at the time. Projection NFL on the beach? It was awesome. Still wonder how John is doing now after everything.
someone please fill me in, What bad thing happened there?

Check the database on the old forum from I think 3 years ago. Each time that part of the subject gets brought up not too much can be shared. I was there a few days after it happened and I must of asked 20 people what happened and got 20 different stories....some of the stories were worthy of a book....what really happened in detail...nobody has posted???
A nice chill out spot.
Always treated decently and with respect.
If nothing else you will still find Shadow around, beggin for a beer, smoke etc. "REDSTRIPE" lmao
