    JUBAS Place

    does anyone have information about JUBAS Place?
    contact info? rates? have you ever stayed there or seen the cabins?
    a friend is looking for cheap basic accommodations on the beach side of negril.

    I believe that Juba was just being allowed to stay on the property while the title ownership was being disputed. It is my understanding that when the matter was finally settled, he was asked to leave and did so. I also think the cabins are no longer on the property. Maybe others know more.

    i did some digging and i found some info, so sadly they are gone. i stay at Jah Bs myself, so i guess he's likely to expand?

    Again, I all know is suss and possibly not facts but I "heard" that Jah B and another Negril landowner disputed the ownership of that property. I think that Negril landowner now owns the property and perhaps he will be building on the land. Fighting over land ownership is common in Jamaica and, of course, Negril.

    Again, maybe others know more facts....

    Well, as someone who used to stay at both Jah Bs and Juba's places in years gone by, I think you can do a whole lot better for the same or possibly just a slight bit more elsewhere in Negril.

    Again, just my personal opinion but, both places kind of reminded me of good ole half Governor Mama Grizzly Palin's "lipstick on a pig" remark.
