Toots injured, cancels all upcoming performances

this is the first i've heard of this, although it happened a few weeks ago. i'm so disgusted that someone would throw a glass bottle at Toots, after all he's done for us. what a sniveling piece of human garbage.
i wish Toots a full and speedy recovery, come back to us Toots, we love you and your music!

Kinda strange, though, we saw him play a show about a week after the bottle incident, and he looked and sounded great! He mentioned onstage that he was "about 80%" and that he might have to cancel the rest of the tour, which he did, a few days after this show. But damn, injured or not, what a show! He was doing an unplugged set, and it was really excellent! Wonderful music, great stories between songs, just a fantastic set, even better than when I saw him with the full band before. Really sad that one idiot was able to put an end to seemed to be a wonderful tour.

i believe sometimes head injuries can be hard to predict, what seems like a minor thing can actually have serious consequences. and while he's not old is isn't young either. i just hope he gets better because he is such an amazing performer, not many people his age can carry on like he can on stage.
