Keep in mind they have nothing to do with Jamaica; in brief, they are coming of age novels set in inner city Philadelphia and carry the main title Ghetto Flowers. They were fun to write and are semi-autobiographical. Just passing it along. What is the title of the current Jamaica book you are reading? I read Banana Shout, what others are out there that you recommend?
