Can I bring my Canadian cell to Jamaica & buy a SIM card at Digicel.

I have an old AT&T Blackberry (GSM), that is no longer in service. Before my last trip, I called AT&T and they helped me unlock it. When we arrived in Negril I stopped at the Digicel store by Burger King, and purchased a SIM card and 1000 international minutes for $2500J. The girl at the Digicel store did all the setup work for me. FYI, they need to see an ID in order to setup the SIM card.

I actually still have some minutes left on the phone. It's fun to call my friends at home and have "JAMAICA" pop-up on their caller ID, then say "Wha gwan!" when they answer the phone.
