Looking to 2014 trip... Moondance villas.

We have not even done our 2013 trip yet, but I am already thinking of 2014. How is moondance villas? We will not go AI, because neither of us really drink, but the photos I saw make the place looks worthwhile. All said, their 1 bedroom costs about the same as I am paying for the two bedroom villa at tensing... Would like to hear about beach, and activities down that way if anyone has stayed recently.

We stayed in one of the 5 BRs several years ago. Really top notch, great beach, service, etc. We did pay as you go and spent about 1/2 what the AI cost was. I prefer to stay directly beachfront, unfortunately the 1BR is not. We got lucky and walked in and they gave us the 5 BR for 1/5 the price, it was just the two of us.
Since then, we've been staying in the Owner's villa at Nirvana, love the direct beachfront location. Not as luxurious as Moondance, but a much better value IMO.

Thanks -- the AI is not really all that big of an attraction for the wife and I... Neither of us drinks, so the whole perceived value is somewhat lost for us.... We are doing AI for the second half of our trip, but that's just because we wanted to go back to couples. Beachfront for the villa is not a deal breaker, but is preferred. Where we are staying for the first half of our trip this year (red birch at tensing pen) is also not oceanfront. 5 bedrooms though... Sheesh. I saw the floor plan for that place, and it is enormous. We did look into the owners villa at nirvana. Might be worth a second look. Thanks again.

I have not stayed at Moondance Villas on the beach, but stayed at Moondance Cliffs last year and have rebooked for 2014. I loved it .. it was great! they have lowered their rates for Mon-Wed nights too. I love the serenity of the cliffs and all the restuarants.

I will just stay at tensing pen for cliffs. We really like that place, but once in a while, I need the beach as part of my vacation. Sometimes all the beach shenanigans are a big part of my fun... No real chance to people watch on the cliffs.
