    To read this right...this just means to the roundabout, not out the west end road...? When I first read it, I was thinking it included the difficult and dangerous walking situation along the west end but.....

    that would be nice but is there space? i haven't spent much time on the west end but i remember the road to be pretty narrow.

    No worries, the West End is next on the agenda - this is from an article in December before the construction had started:

    "These plans, he continued, in essence call for the putting in of physical infrastructure, namely sidewalks with jogging and cycle tracks adequately lit and landscaped which would in turn encourage tourists to use and enjoy. As a result he reasoned, the value of properties along the same strip of sidewalk would increase dramatically as it would be well used by visitors. The strip in question to be constructed runs from the round-about in the centre of town leading out along what is popularly known as “beach road” for some 4km to Couples Swept Away Negril.

    It is also planned that once the sidewalks are completed, then attention will be turned to the west end in a bid to similarly construct sidewalks there as well."
