Right ... last time I went for 3 months, I did not have a copy of my return ticket at Immigration ~ They took me back to their offices to have me pull up my my Delta Account to prove I had a return ticket already booked! I know better now!
Thanks ~

Like Rob said, the "cover" charge is $ 10,000 J
I'm sure this is a dumb question but....why do they care whether your shoulders are covered?
It is a government agency. They do have a minimal dress code, just as they dont allow guys to have their underware showing... (grin)

necessary form can b completed priorto going to immigration office .... http://www.pica.gov.jm/PICA/media/Ap...).pdf?ext=.pdf
u will also b asked to write ur reasons for wanting to stay ..... u don't need alot of info but is necessary. take passport and return itinerary. yes, sleeves or some cover is necessary and b careful w/shorts as what they consider short, i do not. open toe shoes did not seem to b an issue. with all things ...b respectful. it is their country and their rules.
Canadian citizens can stay up to 180 days as long as you have passport and return ticket. I thought that this also applied to US citizens?

After 90 days...you will need to apply for an extension of another 90 days at the Immigration in Montego Bay or Kingston...whether you are US or a Canadian citizen.
Kahuna,
That website must be out of date or not complete - even Canadians only receive 3 months, then need to get an extension for the additional 3 months which costs j$10,000. You can stay up to 180 days, but you need to pay for the time over 3 months.

Thanks for the information ... (I do not mean to start any drama), but - I am pretty much up to speed with appropriate dress and how to carry myself with proper manners ~ I think I do ??? maybe / maybe not?![]()
will there be any difficulty at arrival if you have a return ticket longer than 90 days? I will arrive Dec 30 and stay till end of April.
