Second hand smoke is annoying. Once you're beyond a 3 to 5 foot range, it isn't any more dangerous than the auto emission filled air we normally breathe. The actual danger tends to be greatly overstated. That said, as a smoker I don't have any desire to annoy others and have no problem not smoking in enclosed public places. I remember when people smoked in airplanes, hospitals and supermarkets. It was not a good thing.
