My opinion...not enuff savings to lock in 10 years....too many variables in life to lock in that long....if the savings were big enuff where u could miss a year or so and still be a good deal, then yeah....what if sickness in yur family or work or whatever gets in the way of your traveling in one of those years...and then there is the fact that we have been 4 times, have not stayed at the same place twice, and have not been on the same weeks twice.....hard to lock in 10 years of my life....
has pros and cons....

FLIP'S RAMBLING THIS IS IN NO WAY A RUMOR. NO INSIDE INFORMATION. I AM JUST BABBLING
That property at the end of the lane, next to Catcha is for sale. Imagine how much more appealing a room at the Seastar is with guest access to the cliffs just a 100 yards or whatever away?
Makes a lot of sense to me. Give up14 rooms for 10 years in current location to fund expansion of who knows how many more? Sounds like a good business move to me. If it is the case, I sincerely hope it works out for him.
Just my two cents....
My opinion is biased due to the fact that I arrived at Seastar as a guest and left as a member of the family...
Chris and Francine have worked very hard to create a wonderful resort in Negril. Over the years they have listened to and acted on advice from many of their guests.
I'm guessing that maybe Chris and Francine are responding to a repeated request from some of their regular guests.
Enjoy,
