Beer Prices and Airport transortation

We are currently trying to put together our vacation budget for our late Sept. trip to Negril. We are pretty big drinkers so I was curious as to what the going rate for a case of Red Stripe is in the grocery stores. Also, what is the average price of rum drinks and beer in the bars.

We are thinking about using Sexy Rexy for our transportation from Montego Bay to Negril. Has anyone ever used him? Is he reliable?

Don't know about sexy rexy but for the best prices on beer go to the beverage wholesale place called Top Choice on the roundabout. It was around 19 usd last time I bought one but not sure about recent price increases (b sure to save your empties & return them in the plastic case for deposit).

Rum drinks are anywhere from $5 up (in my experience) and RS you can find as cheap as 150J on the beach ( try Cheap Thrill Corner/patty shack between SeaSplash & Treehouse they have cheap RS & good patties).

I'd suggest Clive's transportation. They give you a free Red Stripe at airport
and will stop frequently along the way to let you replentish at places that
sell at local prices. Their rate is cheaper than what was posted, but I
don't want to specify. Cheapist beer I found in Negril is at the oriental
store across from Scotia Bank. Ask for cardboard cases as they are cheapest. My experience is that 2400 JA is about as cheap as you can find.

I'm not sure if Sexy Rexy is insured, but I did take a ride with him in May and he didn't do anything that was crazy. Check this out in case anything were to happen. Sexy is a character, so if he is in fact insured I would say do it. As far as beers I saw anywhere from $150J to $400j for a beer. Exchange rate is right around $85j to the US $1.
