Info on Swimming @ Xtabi
Taking my kids to Negril. We are staying on the beach at Coco but wanted to take them over to Xtabi for dinner one night. If we go early can we hang on the cliffs and swim even though we are not guests?
Is it easy for kids to swim there (as long as the sea is calm) and not get nailed by a sea urchin?
Thanks.

Re: Info on Swimming @ Xtabi
Xtabi has a beautiful snorkelling/swimming area and they will allow non-guests to use their swim area. Make sure you patronoze the bar and or restaurant in recognition of the value. Pick a sunny calm morning. Wind and waves will create condition not suited for recreational swimming or snorkelling.
BTW - the bar and restaurant are excellent.

great place for kids to swim. they welcome your business and the sea is there for you to enjoy.... Mornings for breakfast and a swim are perfect at Xtabi. Escape is also a nice place for lunch and a swim on the cliffs. They too welcome your business and the sea is yours....

Re: Info on Swimming @ Xtabi
take a cheap blow up raft..... Blow it up when you get there.... If the kids are a bit apprehensive about the water and if the water is calm, they can float on the raft and take a look see down into the water.

No problem swimming at Xtabi, using the loungers, restrooms, etc. Like mentioned, have a few drinks or some food while you are there.
I wasn't much of a swimmer there since the sea was constantly forcing you back against the sharp coral. I like the idea of the blow up raft. Do the bartenders deliver?
