Gail, I just bought a bag of peas recently--$10,000 a bag (ah, that's JMD)--a killer. When you get them send them over so I don't have to buy them! Thanks for all you do for us. As for the kids and getting ready for school--we had a wonderful blessing with a donations of some boys uniforms (khakis) and a nice discount on more of them. We buy uniforms, shoes and school supplies and then sell them to the parents for half price. It's a great way to get the parents to "buy" into the education of their children. Getting parents (mostly moms) to assume responsibility in the education is one of our ongoing priorities. And while I'm talking about the kids in Get Kids to School, our attendance rate this past year was 88.4%--this from kids who two years ago were not going to school about 88% of the time! Yea Get Kids to School! --Fr. Jim
