Am I crazy for considering selling some of the stuff I don't really need to pay for Jamaica? I kinda feel like a crackhead with that thought. Has anyone done things like that? I guess I'm trying to justify it.

No it is not wrong if you won't regret doing it. Or just wait until you can feel good about going and save for it. People may tell you what they have done to save money. What works for them may not work for you. Good luck!
Yep, not only do I sell stuff on ebay thay we don't use or need to go to Jamaica but a couple of years ago we collected up a bunch of silver and gold jewelry that was broke, missing stones etc, and I think a couple of pieces old silver cutlery and sent it off to a place online called Midwest Refieneries. I couldn't believe it when the check they sent us was $1400 It paid for our trip. I learned about the place because it is where jewelry makers send their silver shavings and scrap.
No-Not at all...I recerntly moved and really down-sized..Feels liberating..my personal moto is "Experiences" is worth more than "Stuff"....So dig in and find as much as you can and get to selling....good luck
ps. you certainly wont miss the stuff
" Ones destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things." (Henry Miller)
But if you are selling stuff just to go on vacation, then I'd rethink that. What about a part-time job? Or setting aside a little bit each month? We all understand wanting to go back over and over again, but you don't want to put yourself in financial strain because of it. Better to save and have enough money to enjoy yourself while there!![]()
I find no problem with it! Most of us have way too much "stuff"! Now days with e-bay, etc...it's easier than ever. Just make sure it is not something that you really need or has strong sentimental value. Good luck!

if you don't need it, and won't miss it, sell it and get your butt to Jamaica.
Nope. Its a good idea. No need in letting items that can be reused sit around collecting dust...good luck!
