Benji's Paradise & Blue Hole

I tried searching but didn't come up with any thing for Benji's on this site. Saw some posts on other sites that speculated that it might be closed? Has anyone been recently? If yes, is a day trip to Benji's and Blue Hole do-able? Blue hole in the AM and relax away the rest at Benji's?

As I can recall from posts on this site a few years ago, Benji went to the States. He had a family member try to keep the place opened but I haven't heard hide nor hair from Benji's in a couple of years. I assume that means there is nothing there any more. I would like to hear from other posties and find out. I've heard Benji's was a great place to chill and would be interested in checking it out if it's still around.
As for the Blue Hole, great place, not to far from Negril. There is a swinging pool, hotel, bar and restaurant on site. I'd go there in the morning and stay to whole day. Beers were icy cold and not a bad price, not Sunbeach cheep, but not bad. Half of the fun is the trip there. Go the south coast way passed Rick's and passed the Westender. That way takes you through some cool little towns and passed the drag strip.

I don't believe it is an active enterprise at this time. I haven't been up there in about five or six years, but it was a lovely spot to relax and the river was so refreshing.This is a shot of the old pool circa 2004.

YS Falls would also be a nice trip if Benji's is closed.

Benji's was a couple doors down from Blue Hole, which is still there. I was there last month.

The Blue Hole is a great day or half day trip! We cycle out there and it is one of the unsung treasures of Negril in our opinion

man I would LOVE to float in those waters once again. Going to have to really check it out next reach...Lord willing!
