Franklin D resort in Runaway bay was great for my parents when we went there some years ago. My sister was a baby. My brother was 7. The room came with a nanny who took care of them the whole time. I was in 7th grade and 8th grade. I had run of the resort and had a blast.
maybe we need a sarcasm font, I guess the emoticon I posted wasn't enough LOL
I wouldn't pay AI prices. Although your grand daughter would likely stay for free, I imagine she eats like a bird and would be happy with inexpensive items non AI. Crystal waters would be great. Housekeeper will cook one or two meals a day, you can have leftovers and other favorite snacks in your villa for in between meals out. Cold drinks of choice from your own fridge. Swimming pool and little playground on the beach. Bring along a few beach toys and other pack able favorite activities/toys. Your housekeeper could babysit if you want to go out without the little one here and there. Would be a wonderful, relaxing beach vacation.
Save Disneyland for when she's 7, 8 or 9.
bar-b-barn room #118
I second old goats' Disney World comment. Six Flags would be an alternative as well as the zoo.
( thinking of doing a trip to Negril) don't think you need A/I would make sure to bring some sand toys and things to entertain her in the room too. There are plenty of places some even with a pool. Hope the granddaughter can swim too.
We have been bringing our daughter to Negril with us since she was 18 months. She will be 6 this year and absolutely loves it. We stay at a small hotel on the beach for 2 weeks and she loves the beach vendors and found out this past trip that she really likes jerk pork and of course the ice cream, cotton candy, peanuts, banana bread, coco bread, etc.
the "babysitters" and "nanny's" in Jamaica have proven to be a good, safe choice for people we know...kids dont want to leave 'em...lol
