When I order a rum punch I always specify a "strong rum punch".

    Goes with the recipe actually:

    One part sour.
    One part sweet.
    One part strong.
    One part weak.

    Re: Cocktails

    actually the old adage is:
    one of sour
    two of sweet
    three of strong
    four of weak

It's interesting that of all the bars suggested in this thread (thank you!), NOT ONE was among the five I visited on my last trip to Negril.
(I purposely didn't identify them because I didn't want to diss anybody)

So I have some good ideas for next reach, and will try to be more assertive in my requests to bartenders.

    Any suggestions?
The two places I thought of for a traditional daiquiri would be Sandy Haven as Linton from the old Aqua is working there now & knows how to make them....and the Wild Parrot who has an incredible bartender (they will be open again in November).

Rambo-Re the bar stools....I have very short legs that have a hard time climbing onto tall bar stools especially by the end of the evening and have had trouble even with regular ones on the odd evening depending how much rum was involved lol

Richie at The Wild Parrot makes the best margaritas too! I can't wait until November.

Your welcome. I don't know how you keep half the names straight that you do.
