These two are very nice suites. They are at the Point Village on the 1st and 2nd floor of a building that faces west. Wonderful sun sets right over top of Booby Cay Island and even better sunsets at the daily sunset party on the point.
I don't know how much you know about Negril or if you have ever been there or not. The Point Village is on the other side of the town of Negril. It's about 5 miles from the round-a-bout at the center of town. This means you will have to have a vehicle, driver, or like to walk. We own the suite right above the Carib Suites. The 1st Picture here is the view from our suite. The view from the 2nd floor suite (if that's the one you choose) would be similar. The second picture is the building. Our suite is on the top floor. The Carib suits are below.
I can file some more pictures of the Point Village and/or tell you all about the place if you wish.
We used to stay at Point Village, when it was still an AI resort. We loved the property. The rock pools and the snorkeling area were beautiful. There used to be a couple of nice restaurants, nice beach bar.... it was a busy place. Since its closed as an AI, we've stayed at Breezes/Grand Lido, next door, 3 times.
I've taken a kayak over to PV to see what's going on now. NOTHING. No restaurant, no bar, no people that I could see.
The property is still beautiful, but I think you would have to be the type who loves solitude on vacation. If you want to eat out, you'd have to rent a car or take lots of cabs.
Just my opinion, everyone is different.
well it's a hike to get anywhere......but it is nice der......but far removed from the beach
and if you stay there......there is nuthin right there.......
you would need wheels or a good dependable driver if you ever want to get out........
unless you are a seasoned vet......then you can use the route taxis with no problem....
better picks would be right on the beach........or on the beach road.......
trust mi when I say having wheels or pay for taxis is going to add up.......
to mi it's to dayum isolated....
but if I was in the witness protection program that is where I would stay....lol

we basically want somewhere nice with a kitchen for the second half of our trip... suggestions... under 100 a night?
I can't say enough good about the Point Village (so much so that we bought a place there). It is on the end of Rutland Point so there is no traffic noise. We open our balcony and fall asleep to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. We wake up to the same noise and the sound of the odd boat going by. I will have to agree with Marko and Jody. It is far removed. It is however right on the beach. My wife and I like to walk so many a day was spent walking towards town. We'd try to make it all the way buy most of the time we get to Sun Beach bar and sit for a rest. We then end up spending the whole day there. We have been there so much that we now own our own vehicle. Drivers are easy to come by anywhere in Negril. Just remember***Red Plate***
What I like the most about the Point Village is it is soooo quiet. If you want action, it can be found not far away, but you can still come home to quiet. Not every place can say that.
its in between the riu's and the long beach right?
Pure garden has kitchen rooms starting at $65
Yes Beebeluv. It is by Bloody Bay. The 7 Mile beach starts at the northern tip of Bloody Bay. 2 RIU's, Couple's, and Breeze's Grand Lido are all on Bloody Bay. Then the beach breaks for Rutland Point which is where the Point Village is. The beach then continues south right after the Point Village. You do have to walk through Hedo and Sandals but it is clear sailing from there for the rest of the 7 Mile Beach. Unfortunately you can't walk to Bloody Bay from the Point Village. You have to walk to the road and around.
