We used to stay at Point Village, when it was still an AI resort. We loved the property. The rock pools and the snorkeling area were beautiful. There used to be a couple of nice restaurants, nice beach bar.... it was a busy place. Since its closed as an AI, we've stayed at Breezes/Grand Lido, next door, 3 times.
I've taken a kayak over to PV to see what's going on now. NOTHING. No restaurant, no bar, no people that I could see.
The property is still beautiful, but I think you would have to be the type who loves solitude on vacation. If you want to eat out, you'd have to rent a car or take lots of cabs.
Just my opinion, everyone is different.
