I cut my teeth on what the Vietnam Veterans were bringing home from Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. Wow! I believe that had a definite impact on the Hippie Movement and the growing interest in Jamaica's herb. I agree with Peter Tosh and his advocacy for legalization. It is a very sad day in Jamaica when the helicopters fly in and chop down in one day many people's months of hard work and what they were depending on to feed their families is up in flames.
Hey man, enuf with the algebra and pass the pipe.
what you get, depends on where you get it. who you get it from. etc..
I have seen some stuff down there, that rivals some of the premium we get here. You just need to know how to get it.
On average, though.. The potency is higher in the states. But, I couldn't tell you where to find "Dirt, brick, Schwag" or whatever else it's called. I'm not sure it exists in the middle class culture in the US anymore. It's readily available to the tourists in JA though.
When we arrive a get some from one of the family and of course it's the best they have.
One funny thing......... I get enough for a a couple of Jamaica sized spliffs which lasts us for about a week. LOL
At our age if we smoke too early the day is finished and I can't get anything done.
Linston's Zion Hill Taxi
Captain Dave
capt. same here. i dont really partake too often. i end up giving it to someone else in the end.
Remember Ganja is illegal in Jamaica, and visiting a field you possibly could be charged with "possession"...knowing this..read my trip report and make your own decision on going on a tour.???
we had a riot on the one we went on...we drove around for a bit, if to confuse us, it worked!......
we then got out and walked for what seemed like miles..its been many years since I "humped" in a jungle, all up hill, (both ways!)....in 95 degree heat 100% humidity,So it wasnt long before I was totally drenched in sweat and insects. We walked past many sitting outside in their "yards" and we just gave and received smiles for all.....we went across streams of mud and animal waste..meant to further confuse and deter any "lookers"... but when THAT SMELL hit me, I knew we had finally arrived, it was as if 100 skunks had "visited" the area!!
some of the plants were taller than I (I'm 6-4)..............and all ready to pick..another field was some distance away with all newer plants...
we were as part of the "deal" allowed to "pick one" to take back...we spent some time chatting with the "farmer"... he was a very educated man, and knew all about
the product, cross breeding and so on.........He liked my questions I guess, because as we left, he shook my hand and passed a "lump" to me.......Wow I have enjoyed it for over 50 yrs now,,,and what he passed me was right up there..it wasn't long before my wife was watchin me "walk around with the little animals" so to speak...lol
Although it is illegal, if you can try and take a "tour" ...it is fun, and a bonus...you will see Jamaica like you have never seen it...........dont forget your camera...it will be a "keeper"...
just remember it is illegal, dont wind up in the "pokey"...lol

Booger and Rambo too funny..all i know is my horticulturally inclined friends in various places of the world are in their mad-laborties creating the insane buds..high-shelf genetics..from true professionals, etc.that collect seeds, etc from allover the world..I may self partake very lightly..but having been allover the island trying out cook chops and herbs..yes, their some decent stuff out there-stuff would make most happy..but still pales in comparison to what other have recently created..like a great wine-all depends on genetics, soil, nutrients, sunshine and care...I will say its hard to beat the experience of a good spliff in the right situtation in Jam..(beautiful countryside, sublime cliffs or spiritual nyabinghi gathering)..it certainly enhances the experience..jams crops certinaly have upped the anty(will happen when others bring over new genetic strains)..but being the best in world...IMHO -again IMHO....if i had only one chance of the most potent-it would be cali and the NW.....again just IMOP..not trying to win a contest here..so need to be in attack mode..semi-public forum-publi opinion

" Ones destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things." (Henry Miller)
good point.......half of the enjoyment is not the strength, but the surroundings that you are in...
