(Not sure why the pic is sideways. Oh well. Deal.)

A wonderful liquor, pretty much made only in Jamaica, from what I can tell, and I never hear anything about it. We discovered this on our honeymoon, at Couples Negril in 2000, where we won a free bottle during some sort of newlywed game type of thing.

I don't know why you can't find this anywhere. Bars rarely have even heard of it.

But the Hi-Lo always seems to have a bottle or two.

And, oh, so delicious!!! It's like drinking a shot of potpourri!!

Just finished the old bottle, ready to start the next, and probably need to get a spare bottle in November. Try some if you get a chance!

A dear friend of mine, the man brought me to Jamaica, is a master brewer and mead maker. He made a batch of Jamaican pimento berry mead that is simply amazing. I have a bottle in my fridge. He also made a sorrel ginger mead that was delicious. He brought a bottle to Negril last December and it got rave reviews.

Do you drink it cold? Do you mix it with anything? It does look interesting.

A good sipping liquor. I usually just have a shot, chilled is always nice. I don't drink coffee, but seems like it would mix well with that as well.
