was just wondering if this is allowed. I know there is no problem in your room or balcony but what about around the rest of the property.

Chickster,
Rules vary by property, best to check with the Properties Policy. Most have a bar that is a profit center. Bringing in outside beverages to their Bar is usually frowned upon.
Enjoy,

It seems to be fine at beach properties. I take my own drinks to the beach or anywhere except sitting in the bar or restaurant area. Sandy Haven may be an exception.
We always have our own drinks in our room and take them down to the beach. The bar/restaurant provides service on the beach, but to me, that is just an option. If you are going to sit at the restaurant or bar, you should patronize them in some way. My wife does have me go up and make her drinks using our blender, and bring them back down to the bar/restaurant, which I am not crazy about, but I rationalize it, since we are eating and I am purchasing drinks. The owner's are around time to time, and haven't said anything to us. Not sure if they would, anyway.
i would never bring my own beer to the bar but was thinking more of around the pool, will be staying on the cliffs.
thanks for the input

Most I've been to only have an issue around the pool area. You can have it by your chair/table next to the pool, but not in the pool with your floating chair. Although the place I've stayed at the most, if my wife and I are the only ones on the property during the slow season we do whatever. I put my red stripe in the cup holder on my floating chair, sit back, and smoke a cigar. We just make sure we left the pool area in the same condition as when we arrived.
Most properties will allow your own beverages.
Tensing does not. We've brought the occasional soda or wata from our forays off resort, but our first trip there, we were told to purchase ting etc from them, and they will stock the fridge. They did sell it at a pretty decent discount, but it was made clear to not bring cases from off property.
I always bring my own drinks around the pool, beach etc...but not the bar or restaurant just a courteous to the establishment...

Drink Eat be IRIE!
I rationalize it two ways,I always patronize the bar at the property I stay at,tip like a mad man and c,that mini fridge in my room must be for something![]()
