I don't post much anymore but this one and also maybe the fact that I'm having a few red stripes at my own bar after a hard days work kind of grabbed at me to type a lil bit.

This is just my opinion only( but a question was asked), in your room, on your balcony, porch, or deck, you bet no problem, my room usually has a case in the frig and 2 or 3 stacked next to the frig. But being honest that's only for when the hotel I am staying at bar is closed or if we want privacy and do not feel like going to the bar area.

VVHT & Big Frank nailed it, not only are the hotel's bar's and restaurant's money generators for the owner's. but they also employ servers and bartenders who depend upon guest and walkin's alike to patronize the bar, pool area's for a living. And carrying my own drinks on the beach, wow,! I guess we must be really different, sorry, just can't see it.
Whether I'm staying at hotel and lounging on their beach loungers or just strolled up to use their loungers because I like the vibe there, again .... just can't see it. I'm , we, are purchasing our beverages from the respective bar where we choose to plop are a$$e$. As I type this Badnaz is totally in disagreement with me and cursing me, so this proves that there is quite a wide range of thoughts on this question. Which also makes it a great question!

I guess there is really no wrong answer, but jeez I have to wonder, how much are stripes? (which most people drink while there), $J300 on the high end and the most frequented places are beat down to $J175 or $J200 ...... for that view, and vibe to me they are practically giving them away?! Stripes here in the Midwest at our local bar are quite a bit more than on a million dollar view beach/cliff area priced ones at Negril. But I also feel the same way about the folks that beeeotch about the price of a lunch, or dinner on the beach and don't even remotely comprehend the overhead, let alone the view and ambiance they are receiving. Go figure.

I know this won't be a popular response but again I am offering only my Humble opinion and how we roll, to each their own.

By the way the only part of this response that is not truthful is the part about me working hard today
