one of my coworkers had booked a trip there. They arrived and their rooms were shall we say not very clean. They cancelled and went to Coco La Palm. That is the only thing I have ever personally heard about it.

We stopped by there a couple of years ago ,the pool bar and pool itself are beautiful, the main bar was nice, only thing missing was people. It was Thanksgiving and we only saw a half dozen people anyplace on the grounds and one guy reading a book at the pool bar.If the rooms were clean and we just wanted to totally relax it would probably be a nice place to stay!!

We have stayed several times and know many others that have also. This establishmenrt is owned by Winston Wellington and his sons help run it. Winston is a driving force in getting education for kids in the area . He also was instrumental in the hospital that will be constructed in Negril. Everything I have every experienced there was above par in relation to anything for the same amount of money. The help is friendly, the food is good, bar is fun, and everything is keep clean. All rooms associated with the main stucture have A/C. Not sure about the cabins. Sure, some things are not perfect-- elec. outlets in weird places or missing but hey this is Jamica.

Stayed there 2011, found the staff and Mgt very nice and helpful. Had booked the suite on expedia as was min $ above std room as was a special. Was masive room, full kitchen separate dining/sitting room, big bath with jacuzzi tub, 2 decks, but we found it a bit noisy and not "cozy' as so big for 2 people (it is on corner where trucks come in AM and we tend to stay out a little late!) other corner suite wld be quieter. Did not even have to go to desk, just metioned it to housekeeper and next thing nice lady is down at beach looking for us asking what they can do to make us happy. We moved to the deluxe room (i think- either way the better rooms not std) was always very clean, and mgt said they wld send to Expedia to get us a refund on the difference in the rooms, which we never even thought about. Instead of waiting for Expedia refund we arranged for them to give us a credit at rest/bar and within 10 minutes we had a $345 credit which coverd pretty much all our drinks and food we had there for the 10 days.
Beach in front is a bit narrow but acceptable and no issue with being close to river and very quick jaunt if want to want to go to town or to roundabout to p/u route taxi. Would stay again but like try other places. As family owned/run there is always a Wellington on site if you have any issues.
