Usually stay more grounded at one place to soak up each minute, don't get emotional until we do what we said we would not do,,,,,,,look for last minute airfares....Always crazy prices then reality sets in.

in the early days....we stayed up all night sitting on the cliffs, smoking, drinking, talking, reliving our trip.............we had no hangovers cause we boarded the flight just sober enough not to be denied boarding....lol
now we pack, have dinner, and sit on the beach until 10 or so...go to bed in each others arms, planning our next time.....No Fun flying with hangovers when your older......

I hear that! I don't even like the taxi ride to MoBay without a hangover.

Mi Lady and I have learned to chill out the night before departure and pack in the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and say our goodbyes, making plans for our return.

Haha - after a very horrible hangover on a flight to Hawaii, I am with you guys! NO hangovers for me on flight day. We do usually have a last night dinner and sunset somewhere romantic, last trip it was walking down the beach from Idle Awhile to Kuyaba, followed by a wonderful meal. We are usually lucky and have until 11 or 12 the morning we leave to hang on the beach. That is when I start getting teary. And clingy with my lounger. And hopeful that all flights will be cancelled and maybe flying is suddenly impossible and we have to stay for the rest of our lives.... the crazy places the mind can go...

Great question... Sad Memories... Our last day is pretty much like every other day except that we tear up a little as we watch our last sunset knowing that we are going home to the snow and cold. Lunch at Out Of Town Pastries with a walk back to the hotel and then our "last night on the island" dinner is always at Rockhouse. The ride back to MoBay is always quiet and sad but we know we will be back in less than 365 days.

It's usually pretty low key, another vote for NOT travelling with a hangover. We talk of our next trip, start to plan it if it isn't booked already We focus on coming back and not on leaving, makes it much easier to come home. As the Jamaicans at the airport always say "if you don't leave, you can't come back!"

We usually cut the party time back on the last night and try to end the morning by 1 or 2 am.Then we are well rested when we get up to pack and get the bags out and have a final Mimosa or 2 with breakfast.Nice quiet ride to the airport and then our customary Bob Marley shot with a Red Stripe at the airport to see us off the island until we can get our butts back to start the party over again!!

the last sunset' is hard for me knowing that I have a lot of work to do to get back again, when arriving i see people leaving and I'm so glad that its not me,but i know my time is coming,
we have a early night usually and say our 'see ya next time mon' to friends we have made
as 2nutz said 'As the Jamaicans at the airport always say "if you don't leave, you can't come back!" but i don't want to leave!

Not me, I act like a freaking spoiled brat, I whine, piss and moan all day about leaving the next day. Start from the minute I get up and it lasts until my beautiful wife gives me a Snickers bar & glass of milk (aka a sub & rum punch), and just like the commercial Betty White disappears and I'm back to enjoy the day to the max!
