    AAAH.......A wedding in Negril

Hello everyone. Great to be back with all of you. Its been a long time since my last post. I proposed to Cindy up at Dennis's place (Whoopies) back in February of 2010. What a happy day when she said yes!!! But, once back in the States, we decided to put the ring back in the box for awhile. Its a long story as to why, but life between us was still good and we both knew that the ring would again see the light of day on her finger. Well....we woke up on the morning of February 13th and after a long conservation, decided it was time to set a time and date. Now after boring you all to death, I finally get to my question. We have set a date of 10/11/12 to be married in Negril, hopefully at the Grand Pineapple. Have any of you had any experience with weddings at the Grand Pineapple?

I love the goats wandering around during your romantic proposal, so sweet just your two, the sea and your little goat witnesses. Congrats! I bet someone has seen a wedding at GP. I imagine they would turn out a good one.

Wow, congrats. Interesting, Feb. 13 == Lucky 13 the day before Valentine's Day. Grand Pineapple sounds great for a wedding. One question: Where will you go for your honeymoon? Just kidding!!!! Live it up!!!

I saw a wedding when I was there in March. They had the ceremony outside on the beach just to the left of the bar.It was a nice setup and the wedding was short and public at around sunset. They set up chairs and a tent and had about 40 people in attending.A few days before the wedding I met a bunch of the group. They were all staying at GP.I've seen a couple of weddings on the beach at various locations and they are nice and quick.

Congratulations! You have a long time to plan and a lot of choices are available..

I've seen beautiful beach weddings at both coco la plam and idle awhile and they both were great!

I'm just curious why you chose GP?

We have stayed at both the GP and The Mariposa several times. With about 20 people coming, most of all of them are Jamica virgins, I feel that the atmosphere of a smaller AI would be a hit with most. With the October prices for a week there, it also fits into most budgets. I haven't made the call to the GP yet for bookings yet but will in the next week. Most likely will be going down in February. Peace!

A wedding anywhere in Negril should be nice. For a honeymoon you all can leave your guests at GP and head to the cliffs.

If someone is ever smart enough to ask me to marry, I want to get married at Rockhouse!!! (a girl can dream can't she)
    Happy holiday family time!
