Wow, lotta a different prices. Sounds like the upper east coast throws out some better numbers.Chicago is the best we can do. Its a five hour drive with tickets 450-650. We usually park, stay ,and ride.Thats another 100 plus a extra day off work and we still get lousy drive home.We can fly local for 850-950.
We paid $470 RT back in June out of Minneapolis/St Paul on AirTran for our upcoming trip in December. Departing 6:30 am (local time), one stop in Atlanta, arrive in MBJ at 3:10 pm. Just checked Travelocity, the same flight is priced today at over $721 RT.
Nonstop Winnipeg to MBJ for Feb 1 $924, purchased in early September. Just last week, it went down $88 (i got a bit of a refund!), but prices have been stable and HIGH for the last several months, according to my tracking. I believe that one of the reasons for the high rates was a charter company stopped flying from YWG.

That flight is with 2 stop-overs, and takes 23 hours. The "spoils" of age demand I fly non-stop, which does cost a bit more!
My understanding is that the airlines have needed business the last 3-4 years. Now traffic is significantly up and they are going to "make hay". I worry that the 300-400 rates might be gone. 9 years ago we caught a red hot deal for 150 total round trip. Usually 300-375 was what we have locked in since.
when I search flights I find I need to provide dates. Is there a way to search where you leave the date open and various dates are are displayed with their cost? I dont mean the 3 day matrix but, a whole month of options. Time for guerilla tactics --any help please?
