I believe that one of the reasons for the high rates was a charter company stopped flying from YWG.
Matrix has flights from $629 for Feb 1st, from YWG.

I tried Matrix. My experience is that booking the flights directly with the airlines is either not available and/or is not the price quoted. Have no idea why but that was my reality.

I'll wager you anything you like that the price list on the Matrix is also listed on the airline website. I am Not affiliated with them - just have used this software for many years and the price listed there is the lowest you will find - unless you get a charter flight just trying to fill up, last minute. I have never had a problem booking directly through the airline websites. The airlines from IND to MBJ are typically $1.00 cheaper than the lowest price for the exact flight you will find on Expedia, Travelocity, etc.

Craig - may I ask approximate when are you travelling? Is it during peak times (Christmas, feb break etc)? How far ahead did you book your flights? I have been an airmiles collector for many years and have a pretty high number of miles. We tried booking for xmas late summer and nothing available.

I booked in July for Jan 25, 2014 departure. My airmiles program is through MBNA. Maybe different from yours? They also have a cash value which I may have used. Sorry I don't remember.

I must correct my previous comment. Matrix does work and very well despite not being able to use it for booking. My problem was that my airmiles restricted me to certain ailrlines only. I ended up using United Aitrlines and the Matrix price did match the airlines.
