    Cool Black River Safari

    I am taking the Black River Safari tour from Rocky and am just curious what it is all about.Appreciate any feedback.

    Pontoon boat ride a little ways up the Black River into the mangroves with a few croc/gator sightings. We did it a few years back and were underwhelmed.

    We did it also. It was interesting as we had not seen those things before (mangroves, crocs, and the birds). We also had a nice lunch too..

    If you want to do something like that, I'd go to Florida and do it in the everglades. More gators.

    Did it twice, once in the 1990's and again in 2002 or 2003. Both times saw lots of crocs. 1st time on Pontoon Boat, second time in a much smaller boat. The pontoon boat had to turn around at a bridge it couldn't fit under. The smaller boat went much father up river and it was more personal trip experience. On the pontoon boat they brought chicken to feed the gators.

    Both enjoyable, don't recommend swimming
