with a Sunday arrival,
getting a sim-card *could-be* tricky
[[[ KEEP in mind, that i haven't been on-island in over 2-years ... so, my *feed-back* might-be TOTALLY wrong, but based on pass-trips/experiences ___ ____ ___ ____ ]]]
Digicell offices closed on Sundays
in the past,
i remember seeing a Digicell kiosk AT the airport (somewhere) .... i would check there (if still there).
WARNING...!!!.. --- DO NOT leave the airport, thru the main Arrival-doors, without FIRST checking/looking-around for a Digicell rep/kiosk ... once outside those doors, you'll NOT get back in.
IF you're using a private-driver to TreasureBeach, tell 'em your sim-card-issue ---- they'll more than likely be able to assist to resolve.
If no Digicell-rep @ airport,
mi-*think* you're a duck-out-of-luck
until Monday morn (business hours)
an aside:::>> Once upon a time,
pon arrival,
i had an issue with my *local* phone, which i was tote-ing TO the island
Stopped at a Digicell booth/stand/kiosk INSIDE the airport, on the way from plane to baggage claim ---- got *issue* resolved

There isn't a digicel kiosk at the airport anymore. I'm sure a private driver will pick one up for you in advance. Friends are having their driver do that in December.
Or just spent one nite in Mobay down-town, and buy it on Mondays! L.O.L.

(Where you can buy ganja, same way you buy dem patties down in Jamaica!)
mi would tell the driver to pick one up for you......Digicels sims are like around $500J's......
Sundays are a great travel day to head home but not to arrive as a lot of places are closed......
Cambio's included.......which can be a bummer......and the airport Cambio is a no go due to the poor rates

Would it be possible for you to reactivate your old sim on line? This is what I did through Digicel Jamaica. Called the phone number there for Customer Service to make sure I had an account.

the other week,
while chattin' (long-distance phone call) with my Ja-mentor
to check-on my defectiveleft-behind Ja-cell phone
which i've had for a few YEARS(.!!.)
she told me:::>>> "..a NEW cellie would cost between Ja$2,000 & $3,000.."
that's US $20-$30 (approximately)
