i *discovered* that hand sanitizer helped a LOT with bug-bites (e.g., 'squitos, flies, fleas, etc) and the itch-ys (after foolin' around in the dirt, grass & flowers).
any of you's have any experience(s) using this stuff IN JAMAICA..??

Natural Shea butter worked wonders for me. My legs were covered with sand flea bites and nothing seemed to help. I had Shea butter and tried that. It stopped the itch, healed the bites and prevented further bites.
Gigi...I used pure raw Shea Butter at bedtime...............woke with tiny little ants all over the bed..............I guess I was the biggest candy bar in Jamaica~~UGH!

Doesn't surprise me that it works on bug bites. Looking at the MSDS, it's just ethanol and propanol.
good ole aloe works for me . . that gel seems to show an aloe plant on the label.
hmmm wonder if it would work for me. Last reach I was so desperate that I asked a Rasta medicine man who recommended Neem. I mixed it with cocoa butter and it did help with the itching and inflammation but I was scared to bring it back cause I wasn't sure it would pass the dog test lol
The 99 Cent store and many dollar stores also have anti-itch cream that can save a whole evening....

I use straight alcohol to relieve the itch. Hand sanitizer probably does about the same (but likely costs a good bit more).
