I may want to finish off a trip with a short stay on the cliffs. Catcha cottages do look super mellow. Do they do 1 nighters?

yes, they do one night stay
Not sure about single nights at Catcha,be worth calling ar emailing them to see.We stayed 2 nights last year and then moved to the beach but we are splitting this trip with 5 at the beach and then 5 at Catcha,it's to nice of a place to stay for any shorter time!!
Geeeze, just try it.
We always start on the beach and end up on the cliffs to really chill.
You don't have the same thing for dinner every night, do you?

We are beach people too. I cant imagine being that close to the ocean, but not be able to just walk into it. ..... a pool just wont cut it. Are there places where there is easy access to the sea? We dont scuba, we dont dive. I could maybe be convinced to stay on the cliffs if the place was right, but since we havent been, I picture all the resorts as having pools but no water access, other than diving in.

Jody, you really need to go there to see......there are ladders into the sea or just jump in from low points....can't get much easier than that.......check out Xtabi or go to Catcha fallin star at 5:00 for sunset and a drink and check out the access. Every place that is on the sea front on the cliffs have easy access to the sea.
we are beach people....1st stay, all beach...2nd stay 13 days beach, but we did what fred stripe just said, we negotiated a room a blue cave castle for one night....left most of our stuff at the beach, just took enuff for the one night....canoe rum punch knocked me out and I didnt get much out of that stay except that my wife was bored and i was out.... so the next trip we tried 3 nights at catcha, (got a deal due to construction) and for the 1st 2 days, we were bored again....the place was almost empty...on the 3rd day, we were joined by a couple of friends and it was a lot better, but still too quiet at night....so on our last trip, we planned on staying at catch, again with our friends...but the waves were high for the 1st day and couldnt get in the water...i was missing the beach the whole time....dont know if we will do a cliff stay this time, but we will always visit....just love the beach....we were beach people before negril....

A new husband of a friend of ours, when he visited our cottage #4 at Xtabi asked our friend,
"What do they do up there?"
She replied, "Nothing, absolutely nothing."
Less beggars on the Cliffs. That's a big plus .....
